A Quiet Tuesday

Today was so much more tiring than yesterday, possibly because I didn't get to sleep as early as I should have last night. I've had a few errands to run after work both yesterday and today, so when I finally got home tonight around 6:30 p.m., I put on my pajamas straightaway. After lighting candles all around the house, I'm now sitting in my peaceful sunroom, browsing through my favorite blogs and enjoying the quiet.

I'm looking forward to finishing the dog sweater tonight; I tested the size this afternoon (one of my errands) and it just needs the final belly strap. It would be nice if she could use it during our cold snap. I'd like to knit one similar to this one next. She used a combination of yarns stranded together and that's something I really want to try more of this year. This post was the one that got me thinking about stranding more; I'm usually not daring enough about my knitting choices, and I want to work on that, especially since I have SO MUCH yarn!

I've had a couple of bad video rental choices ever since Foyle's War finished, so I'm thankful for Ann's list. I think I'll print it out and put it in my bag so I have something to refer to instead of wandering aimlessly through the store, only to pick out another loser. The movie I rented Sunday night was so depressing I could barely muster the energy to get up off the couch after it was over.

Not to rush my life away or anything, but is it Friday yet?

  1. I don't think it's Friday yet. We're getting slammed with work (nobody wants to go on hospice during the holiday. It's 11 PM and I'm just getting home and did not get a dinner.

Oh dear. I sense I'm whining. Wah...wah..wah. I'm such a baby. Maybe I'll eat that Baskin Robbins in the freezer for my dinner. THat'll make it all better.

  2. January is so harsh. We just seem to crash after all that holiday cheer. I can't wrap my head around anything but knitting right now. Even though I'm not working for money, I still have stuff to do and expectations from the real world - I'd rather knit. Jammies at 6.30? My kind of gal!

  3. Ooh! I love coming home and getting right into my pj's. It's just so decadent -- and with fewer calories than bonbons!
