Just Knitting

The red yarn on the left was originally for my Purl scarf, but it got lost in my color choice, so M#1 frogged it for me while she was here; it was quite fiddly. She thought it would look a lot better with this orange yarn so I'm going to try something lacy with it. Still looking for a pattern, but I definitely like the colors together.

This is some homespun yarn that M#2 picked out for a scarf; I found this pattern on ravelry (uneven rib) and I'm enjoying it. Took it to lunch with some friends today and knit on it the whole time (well, except when I was eating) and I'm half way through the first ball already. M#2 always picks out "different" yarn than I would, but I've learned to trust her taste. At the very least, she makes me try things that I wouldn't otherwise.

And M#1 sent me this photo of the handmitts (Toast/Toasty) that I made for her at the last minute. I had forgotten to take a photo, so she took one after she got home. Even a good knitter like her likes someone else to knit for them once in awhile I guess.

Of course I'm still working on the brown cabled silk scarf for Steve, the dog sweater for my mom's dog, the green cashmere lace scarf (for me?), and a pair of handwarmers for my cousin. Did someone say ADD??

  1. I think those two balls at the top will make a lovely something when you've got it all knitted up. I love the toasty. Such an awesome color.

  2. That green yarn is knitting up beautifully. Can't wait to see it finished.
