Spring Cleaning

These are the asparagus quiches I made yesterday. I took one and kept one. Steve and I made a dent in the one we kept this morning for our breakfast. And then I had another slice around 10:00 a.m. Delicious. This photo is from our walk yesterday after church. These two dogs were skim-boarding! I tried to get a better picture, but the man wasn't all that friendly; probably afraid he'd end up on youtube or something. Cute dogs though.

So I started the project I've been wanting to do for awhile now. I moved this desk from my daughter's bedroom (with her permission) into the living room and put the big desk we had in here, into her room. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but it was. I ended up rearranging her room (with her permission) and cleaning it! Murphy's Oil Soap and all.

Now I've set the sewing machine up on the bigger desk in her room so I can sew whenever the muse hits me. First on the project list is a bath mat from Handmade Home. Have you seen it? It's adorable and so much more practical than mats with rubbery stuff on the back. Details and photos later.

  1. It will be nice for you to have the sewing machine set up all the time. That was one of my first requests many years ago - when we bought our house.

I'm an avid re-sourcer. I love all the ideas that people have. Not all are wonderful - like my leather vest - but all are interesting. And some actually are practical.

  2. I like the little desk there. It'll be purposeful and save you space. The quiche looks interesting. I'm not a big egg fan, but if I was, I'd probably like this.

I think Stephanie's leather vest is interesting.
