More Project Plans

When does the list of planned projects reach critical mass?  There are so many fabulous project ideas out there, that I think I'm reaching the point of project paralysis.  For instance, this one from PurlBee is perfect for the fabric I bought from Alewives right before Christmas.  But, I still have all the felt squares to sew together for the blanket that was inspired by this PurlBee project, plus all the thrifted sheets I want to use to make these throws, also from the list of PurlBee projects.  And that's not even counting the knit projects I have in progress or in my queue.  Or the house projects I want to do, like painting the kitchen and front porch, or sewing curtains for the sunroom.  So I think I'm going to curl up on the couch and watch the new episode of Downton Abbey while I finish my brown cowl.  In between eating bites of Ben & Jerry's Heath Bar Crunch.  That sounds like the perfect project for a Sunday night.

  1. I'm getting ready for Downton tonight too, and sort of regretting that I changed the name of my double moss stitch jacket from "Downton" to "Sydenham". Bill, my husband, keeps pointing to an article in the New York Times (which I haven't read) to support his view that the series is nothing more than a dressed up soap opera. Very patronising of him. I don't care. I love the fact that the story is about my grandfather's generation--he went off to war from Canada in 1914 at the age of 21, spent time in London with his uncle, Sir George Perley while convalescing from wounds, and came home to "the colonies" a changed person.

  2. Bill may have a point, but I love it anyway! It must be really interesting to have such a personal connection, like you do.
