Organizing

I've been on an organizing kick this last week. First I did the kitchen and laundry room cabinets, then I roped Melissa into helping me with the craft and sewing stuff, then that led to the knitting paraphernalia, (good grief, who knew there was so much of that!), and now I'm wrapping it up with the resorting of the yarn. I'm quite pleased with the results and hope to start sewing any minute now. Here's how I decided to manage the thrifted sheets/fabric stash:

The wooden hangers can manage the weight, and when the fabric is gone, they can be used for clothing.

I also cut a hole in the back of the cabinet we bought for the television and DVD player. And when I say cut, understand that it looks like a large rodent gnawed a hole through the pressed board. But it's in the back, so who cares? At least the DVD player is now inside the cabinet instead of on the top of it. This is the latest configuration of the sunroom. I rather like it.

We had some weird weather Friday night. If you looked east, you saw ominous thunderclouds, but this is what the west view looked like. Gorgeous, isn't it?

Happy Monday!

  1. Oh, my, those clouds are such beautiful shades of pink and gold. Hope the weather wasn't nasty because of them.

Sorting. Hmmm...yes. I wonder how many years out of my life I have put into sorting? Somehow I manage to get it all unsorted much faster than the other way round. Hope yours stays as neat as it looks for a while.

  2. There is a scientific name for what you saw in the sky, but I can't recall and I'm too lazy to look it up. We had a sunset like that last summer. It went through just about every color of the rainbow until it turned scarlet. Then it was night. It was phenomenal.
