It's Official

My divorce was finalized on May 10 and I have to say, it's a relief to have it over and done with.  Other than a few glitches every so often, my life is in a really good place.  My health has improved, my house and yard are looking better than they ever have, and summer is not too far off.

Aren't these pictures of the beach beautiful?

Gracie loves to hang out on the back of the couch and sometimes, she falls asleep in the most interesting poses.

I don't know why she loves to do this but she does.  So cute.
I finally reorganized my yarn room; I moved some furniture around, moved some out, and this time, I think it'll stay this way for awhile.
I still have some odds and ends to sort, but I enjoy being in there now.

I really love my fairy lights; can you see them?

This was taken in there as well, after Gracie crawled up on the back of the pink chair to get closer to me.  Such a face!

It's been busy and hectic and stressful, but I think it'll be a bit calmer now.  I hope you all enjoyed Mother's Day, no matter how you celebrated it.  Back again soon!

  1. I'm so glad your life is now officially your own!

Your yarn room looks so cozy. I would think spending time there knitting with Gracie to keep company would make for a perfect time.

    1. Thank you for your kind words! That pink chair was a yard sale find at least 12 years ago so it's looking rough but I still love it; it's such a perfect size.

  3. Glad that phase is finished for you. Concentrate on being good to yourself and taking care. LOVE your yarn room - I could easily stay in there a long, long time. Thanks, as always, for the Gracie pictures --- such a sweet face.

    1. It is such a relief to feel I can now move forward, even if moving forward doesn't look very different on the outside. It is different and most of my people can tell how much happier I am now, which is so interesting since I didn't realize how unhappy I actually was! Odd how a change I didn't think I wanted turned out to be just what I needed!

  4. Congratulations on finishing the divorce process. It is really hard. But I'm glad you're coming out it in a good place.
I envy your neat room. My craft room is such a mess that Keith calls it, "in there" in an ominous tone.

    1. Trust me, that room had been a complete disaster for months! It's such a relief to have it in order, even though it hasn't helped my creative process just yet.

  5. It's always so therapeutic to have a "Finish" to anything, I think. Take care.

    1. Sometimes finishing has been a difficult time for me, a "what's next?" time, but this time it is definitely a good place for me. Despite my resistance to this divorce, it turns out it was best for me after all. Luckily, I didn't get to have the final say in how it turned out.
