TGIF

SO glad it's Friday. My last post was devoid of photos, so as soon as I got home today, I went outside with my camera.

The tulips are on the brink of blooming.

The new copper birdbath is full after today's torrential rain, and the rosemary is blooming too.

The daffodils bloomed earlier this week; nothing says spring to me more than daffodils.

And the finished (except for the buttons) Thermis cowl. Of course, no one needs a cowl right now, but the birthday recipient will appreciate it next winter, won't she?

Oh, and the newest knitty is up! I love Flaming June and Gemini! But first I am going to knit a Coffee Bean Cardigan in lovely blue and milk chocolate stripes for soon to be born baby boy!

Happy weekend!

  1. Wow...your garden is bursting. We have green shoots everywhere, but no blooms yet.

I was disappointed in the knitty edition, but I did like Flaming June. Just wish I could knit with the recommended fiber, but can't. My fingers would scream in protest.

  2. Is it cherry blossom time yet? We don't have cherry trees here, and I so miss them! The only thing blooming here are a few snowdrops, even though we're having an early spring.

  3. I'm so jealous of your tulips and daffs! That birdbath is so lovely in the rosemary. Haven't seen Knitty yet - that's on my to do list. I can't believe it's Sunday already!

    1. Knitty had a lot of shawls I thought, but they are always fun to see, even if I am not much of a lace knitter. I agree, the weekend flew by!

  4. I love the birdbath too - and the cute baby sweater! I'm knitting a scarf for a friend and I know it's too late but I'm hoping she'll appreciate next winter. We never really had winter this year!

    1. Thanks for your comment! We didn't have much of a winter either, sad to say. But now that spring is almost here, I will enjoy it!
