Finally

I am almost better, and consequently I have been knitting! Steve was worried about me last week, as I didn't even have enough energy to knit very much. I've been sick before and was still able to enjoy a bit of knitting, but this time the most I could manage was a couple of rows/rounds here or there. But I've been making up for it this weekend.

I started and finished the Scrumptious cowl, and then began a pair of handwarmers, but the yarn/pattern combination wasn't making me happy so I frogged it.

Yesterday I started another Thermis cowl, using a skein of Malabrigo Rios, in the Archangel color. If you haven't used this pattern before, you should definitely try it out. It's still one of my favorite cowl patterns. It's easy to knit, but not boring, and it uses just one skein of yarn.

Just got off the phone with my oldest daughter and we've decided to do a yarn crawl when I visit her next month. Of course, we do a yarn crawl every time I visit, but we usually focus on New York City. This time we're going north to go to Green Mountain Spinnery and WEBS! Pretty exciting, no?

    Have a great day,

    1. Thanks. I can't believe the congestion is still hanging on at the two week mark, but at least I have most of my energy back! We should do a field trip!

  2. The Green Mountain Spinnery is one of my favourite yarn companies. I always used to visit their booth at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I've visited their booth at Rhinebeck too, but I've never made it to Putney. You'll almost be all the way to Canada!

    1. I've seen the booth at Rhinebeck and I've read their first book a number of times, but never thought I'd visit! Pretty cool that my daughter provides a base up that way for me. And Canada is still on my short list of places to visit!
