Bad Cold or Mild Flu? Who Cares?

Well, it seems like I may have gotten a "mild" form of the flu. I say mild, because I had the flu shot, and because I wasn't completely flattened by it like I was the last time I had the flu. I did, however, feel bad enough to miss three days of work this week, which wasn't in the plan at all. I'm hoping to return tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I've been watching the birds at the feeders and trying to photograph them, with varying degrees of success. I've also been knitting and watching the first season of The Big C, with Laura Linney and Oliver Platt. It's pretty good; kind of a reminder to live an authentic life, but with lots of dark humor thrown in.

I've been able to see the bird feeder action this week.

A cardinal, our state's bird.

And where there are bird feeders, there will be squirrels, like this one for example.

Quite industrious, he is.

I did finish the Seed Stitch Cardigan and am planning to sew these pale green buttons on,

although the pink ones have a certain charm too.

Which would you choose?

  1. So sorry you are feeling under the weather. But in a way it is nice to get some quiet time to rest and knit. Love the cardigan, I think the pink buttons are fun but would limit how you can wear it.
    Feel better,

  2. Pink, pink, pink! Although the camera can be deceptive, from this perspective the pink buttons give the cardi a lot more oomph. Feel better soon.

  3. I like the green buttons myself, but there is a certain Muchness to the pink. Either way, it's a lovely cardigan.

    Feel better!
