Travels Again

After spending all day in class yesterday, my plan was to spend today lounging around the house.  Instead, I spent it driving three hours north to sit with my cousin in the hospital. She's almost 50 (younger than me) and was admitted late Friday night with a pulmonary embolism.  Needless to say, I wanted to spend some time with her.  The doctor has her on blood thinner and is happy with her progress, except for the fact that they don't know why she developed a clot.  Anyway, we had a lovely, long visit (how do people visit without knitting, btw?) and then we stopped in Richmond to eat dinner with Stephanie on our way home.

I love the old buildings in Richmond.

  1. Sorry to hear about your cousin. I hope she's doing well. PEs are scary.

  2. How nice that you were able to stay with your cousin...yes, knitting in hospitals is required, i think.
I like the pastel colors of the buildings...unexpected.
