Did lots this weekend, but I just want to catch up with a few knitting projects. Steve and I sat on the beach this morning, so I worked on the first of two baby blankets I am making for a friend who is expecting twin boys. I bought ten different colors times two, and I'm making a Moderne Log Cabin Blanket, from the first Mason Dixon knitting book. The difference between the two will be in the arrangement of colors, which I think will work for the whole twin business. Similar but not the same is my goal.
The other project shown is a stealth project, which won't be revealed until later.
Oh, and here's Gracie watching out our front window:
A bit fuzzy, but so cute!
Happy, happy to you!
I am impressed with your log cabin, I tried one once and could not figure out how to make the back look better when I added a new color.
ReplyDeleteGood luck,
Meredith
I agree about the "wrong" side and I'm thinking that using the method that the Tulip pattern uses might be the answer, so I'm going to try it on the second blanket. Check out what I mean here: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/rosehorton/tulips-a-colorful-cardigan-for-baby
DeleteI love the the colors you've chosen for the blankets. I've wanted to make one of these for a long time!
