My talented youngest daughter made me this beautiful Mother's Day card; the inside was as lovely as her drawing.
I saw this beauty in someone else's yard this past weekend. It smelled as good as it looked.
This is the finished one skein sweater, with its goldfish button attached.
And this is a retro baby sweater over half way done. Our baby clothes drive is for the entire month of May and I'm having such fun that I ordered more yarn for it!
I went to the GreekFest this weekend and managed to not eat one of these. But I didn't feel deprived, especially since I ate there on Saturday and Sunday.
The weather could not have been better.
I came home for a long walk in the beach both days to walk some of the calories off. In the space of thirty minutes it went from this:
To this:
I also booked our accommodations for Rhinebeck 2016! We wanted to stay in the same house but the woman is selling so we found another option nearby and just as close to the sweetest yarn shop:
My dad turned 69 on Friday, and he still looks amazing.
Gracie says goodnight.
But only after watching Call the Midwife and Wallander on our local PBS station.
What a lovely post! So many things to love here, and happy birthday to your dad!
ReplyDeleteI love that Gracie watches TV. Our cats occasionally pay attention, but we used to have a cat the LOVED rolling credits. :-)
At least you have some good weather. It is still freezing cold here and raining off and on. I'm afraid we won't have any spring at all.
ReplyDeleteAll those nice ROSES! Very sweet.
Your parents are so young! They look very vibrant and happy.
So many happy things to see here this week Rose. Have a great weekend,

Thank you all for your kind words! Yes, I am feeling much more like myself again, grateful for the good in my life and able to put the not-so-good things in perspective. Thanks again and good thoughts to you all.
ReplyDeleteIs there a link for the baby sweater? I would love to try it.
ReplyDeleteWe in NEO are quite a ways away from roses. We had snow on the 15th!
I know you cherish your parents. Their smiles are a treasure.
