This May Be A Cat Blog

I'm so worried about my shy and sweet Gracie. She found a new hiding spot today, on one of the craft hutch shelves, in a basket filled with some hand knit items. I knew she was a smart kitty.

See how she is avoiding eye contact? I think she's hoping I can't see her. I love her so much already, my little Gracie cat.

  1. Looks like she is avoiding camera contact, not eye contact. She will come around. At least you know she has good taste in her yarn choices.

  2. Cats looooove a good hiding place. Both of my cats took about two weeks to really come around and show their personalities. Everything is still new and strange to Gracie, but she'll be out and about and seeking your affection soon.

  3. Thanks, Meredith and Jenn! Since she has used the litter box, I'm not as worried about her. But I am looking forward to having her around more, she's such a sweetie!

  4. Oh, she is so pretty! She will be fine, some kitties just take a while to get used to new places and people. If she was *really* upset, and there was a problem, you'd already know, trust me!

When you get to be friends with her, please give her a kiss from me.

    1. Thank you Bridget and Gale, I certainly hope so. I slept in her room last night and she's still hiding under the bed when I'm in there. She was at the shelter for two years, so it may be awhile yet.
