Christmas Eve Eve

As I'm still recovering from my horrid illness, I stayed home most of the day yesterday and today, other than visiting the doctor for another medication.  And it's been lovely, now that I'm over the worst of it.  I've been listening to the public radio station which has played gorgeous Christmas music programs pretty much nonstop.  It's one of my favorite things about Christmas, I've come to realize over the years.
I've had a citrus and cranberry mix bubbling on the stove to make the house smell good, and I've done a batch or two of candy making to give away.  I've made my usual Toffee Pecan recipe, but I also tried a Peppermint Bark recipe from Orangette, to give to my cousin.  It seems like it turned out well although it wasn't as much candy making as it was candy melting.   Other than that, I've been knitting, reading, and even took a short nap, so I'm completely relaxed.

I did catch Gracie in a compromising position this morning, trying to liberate a few extra treats from her treat jar.

She looks pretty guilty to me, don't you agree? Hoping you are having a peaceful holiday season.
